Past Students Work Analysis

This music video from a past student at Park High showed a lot of good work and ideas with creative effects and tricks. These are some of the things I found really good.

The two shots are really well blended together with a mirror effect added to add creativity.

The black and white reflects the narrative and its sad tone and the high angled shot makes the man look powerless and smaller while he is on the floor.

the shot of the two main people as they are separated and you can clearly see distance between them.
a really good shot to show distance and sadness.

Again a great medium shot of the torso upwards of each main person in the music video. this shot shows the distance and the attitudes expressed on each persons face showing sadness.

Who would produce and distribute your artist?

After doing much research into labels, we found Virgin Records to be the best option as it included the ingredients to help make our artist successful.

Virgin Records is a British record label founded by English entrepreneur Richard Branson, Simon Draper, and Nik Powell in 1972.

Virgin Records would distribute our artist as the record label is based in the London
and this is the main target as it is the home of the record label. We would officially target
Mexico and England first as the artist is from Mexico and England is the land of the language
that the artist sings in and is a country of acceptance. This labels has artists who do the same
sort of music and involve themselves with such projects.

schedule

Our original schedule for "In The Air Tonight" was ;

Saturday 13th October - Go to the stage room in our school and film half of the video 4pm-6pm

Monday 15st October
 - film the rest of the video 4pm-6pm

Wednesday 17th October - record the extras. eg. whole song in extreme close up

Thursday 18th October - film props in my garden. eg. bottles smashing, pictures smashing etc.

Friday 19th October - Start editing 10 - 30

But as the plans changed, so did our schedule, and this became our schedule for "King Of The Bongo" ;

Monday 12th November - Film random things around London as well as half of the video.

Wednesday 14th November - Review on what we have in the Pod and create a skeleton for the video

Monday 19th November - Film the rest of the video back in Central London

Wednesday 21st November - Lip sync of other people in our school

shot list

Samir and I have created a shot list but we want our video to be spontaneous and random to help compliment the comedy genre so we felt we would have a couple main shots. The rest are to be random and creative.

Shot 1 - Close up of artists face
Shot 2 - Shot of bongo
Shot 3 - Shots of Soury Nasri (Another member of band and the camera man and director)
Shot 4 - Long establishing shots of London
Shot 5 - Shot of train
Shot 6 - Shot of Sophia Romina (Featured singer)
Shot 7 - Random Londoners
Shot 8 - Shot of artist infront of colourful wall
Shot 9 - Shots of Maloy The Saveloy (The producer of the band and a member of band)
Shot 10 - Old London bus
Shot 11 - London Bridge
Shot 12 - Shots of students for Lip sync
